Gong Zheng elected governor of Shandong

JINAN -- Gong Zheng was elected governor of eastern China's Shandong province Wednesday.
He was elected at the seventh session of the 12th provincial People's Congress, the local legislative body.
Gong was born in 1960. He has worked with the General Administration of Customs, and was Party chief of Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province in eastern China before moving to Shandong in 2015.
He was appointed vice governor and acting governor of Shandong earlier this month.
