The world is experiencing profound shifts unseen in a century and the Chinese diplomacy has reached a new starting point, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a press conference on the sidelines of the second session of the 13th National People's Congress in Beijing on Friday.

"We will remain on the path of peaceful development, work for win-win outcome, uphold existing international systems and shoulder more international responsibilities," he said.

Wang said, over the past 70 years since the foundation of the People's Republic of China, Chinese diplomacy has established a fine tradition with distinctive features.

It includes independence, which is the cornerstone of China's foreign policy, concern for the common good of humanity, pursuit of equality and justice, commitment to win-win outcomes, the mission of facilitating domestic development and dedication to serving the Chinese people, he said.
