What we do for an unusual Spring Festival

Wu Xiangxiang, 31, company employee
Current location: Shanghai
Hometown: East China's Shandong province
I had planned to go back my hometown and celebrate the festival with family since the epidemic was basically under control, but after several cases were confirmed recently across the nation, our company encouraged us to stay in Shanghai and would provide a bonus and arrange work for us, so I decided to stay.
My parents and wife also told me that I might need to be under quarantine at home after going back to the hometown, which might also affect our children's timely return to school. Therefore, they all supported me to stay.
My company will prepare the Chinese New Year Eve's dinner for the workers who stay in the city and I will invite some of my friends to celebrate Spring Festival together in restaurants.
Considering the epidemic, I decide to avoid having dinner with many people. It is the first time for me to celebrate Spring Festival away from my family, but I think it is a worthwhile experience.
