Chinese president welcomes COP15 attendees

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping on Tuesday extended warm welcome to guests attending the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15).
"On behalf of the government and people of China as well as in my own name, I wish to extend a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests," Xi made the remarks while addressing the leaders' summit of COP15 via video link in Beijing.
COP15 is being held in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province both online and offline.
