Shanghai Book Fair plans unveiled
The organizer of the Shanghai Book Fair unveiled plans for the upcoming 2023 edition during a news conference on Friday.
Scheduled to take place from August 16 to 22 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, the organizer of the fair is anticipating a recovery in attendance figures.
The 2023 Shanghai Book Fair is expected to regain its pre-pandemic attendance of more than 400,000 visitors, similar to the turnout in 2019, according to the organizer of the Shanghai Book Fair.
According to the organizer, the fair aims to elevate its brand influence through book sales, reading activities and the activities held in sub-venues that will foster a reading culture. The goal is to create an immersive "city of books" atmosphere and encourage widespread reading among the public.
