In the far distance, the park was illuminated by lawn and firework displays.

"The most unique aspect is the limitless outdoor scenery," Wei said. "When you gaze into the distance, Chengdu exudes a sense of tranquility and romance."

Jia Ding, chief director for the closing ceremony, highlighted two important features of the city — its parks and music — and infused them into the show.

The utilization of technologies such as glasses-free 3D and robots also stood out.

Jia, also the chief director for the closing ceremony of the Beijing FISU World University Games in 2001, said the application of cutting-edge technology has transformed today's closing ceremonies compares to those of over two decades ago.

Throughout the ceremony, music and dance performances were employed to convey the profound impact of music.
