Former CSRC senior official suspected of serious misconduct
Guo Xudong, a former senior official of China Securities Regulatory Commission, is being investigated for suspected serious misconduct while in office, the country's anti-corruption watchdogs announced on Friday.
Guo voluntarily turned herself in and is currently under investigation by a team from the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision stationed at the China Securities Regulatory Commission, as well as the supervisory body in Taizhou, Zhejiang province.
Public information shows that Guo graduated from Nankai University in Tianjin and joined the China Securities Regulatory Commission in 1998. She previously worked on the commission's issuance examination committee and served as deputy head of the issuance supervision department.
