China-led livestock project in Mauritania wins poverty reduction award

A China-led livestock technology project in Mauritania was recognized as one of the world's leading poverty reduction initiatives at the 2025 International Seminar on Global Poverty Reduction Partnerships in Beijing on Dec 10.
The event was jointly organized by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China and three United Nations agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization.
It is the second consecutive year that a project from the Ningxia Hui autonomous region has been included in the sixth call of the Global Solicitation on Best Poverty Reduction Practices.
