Belt and Road Initiative follows international rules, market principles
“一帶一路” 遵守國際規則和市場規律

The Belt and Road Initiative is a global public good that follows international rules. It is an international cooperation platform that follows market principles, Wang Yi said.
“一帶一路”是全球公共產品，當然遵守國際規則；“一帶一路”是國際合作平臺，自然按照市場規律行事。

"It's a transparent initiative launched by China. It follows the golden rules of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits," Wang said, adding that the initiative aims to be equal footed, inclusive and universally beneficial.
“一帶一路”是中國提出的陽光倡議，共商、共建、共享是推進“一帶一路”的黃金法則，這六個字決定了“一帶一路”合作具有鮮明的平等性、開放性和普惠性。

"The planning and implementation of the initiative's projects have been discussed by the participants in the open. No country is dominating the process. All parties have an equal say. There is no backroom deal. Everything is transparent. There is no winner takes all. Every project delivers win-win results," Wang said.
也就是說，無論是規劃合作藍圖還是實施具體項目，都由參與方商量著辦，一切都在陽光下運作。沒有一家獨大，而是各方平等參與；沒有暗箱操作，而是堅持公開透明；沒有贏者通吃，而是謀求互利共贏。

A large number of projects carried out under the initiative are "adding needed momentum to the economic and social development of the host countries," Wang said.
一大批合作項目正在全面地推進，為當地經濟社會發展發揮了“雪中送炭”的作用。

"We sincerely ask for ideas from all parties so that together we will make a success of the Belt and Road Initiative," Wang said."Our goal is to not only strengthen physical interconnectivity of infrastructure, but also to improve institutional connectivity of policies, rules and standards."
我們真誠歡迎各方為“一帶一路”建言獻策，共同把“一帶一路”建設好、推進好，不僅加強各國基礎設施的“硬聯通”，也要開展政策、規則和標準的“軟聯通”。

The initiative's projects must be of high standards, high quality as well as results-oriented and economically viable that benefit not only China but the world, the foreign minister added.
不僅接地氣，還要高標準；不僅效益好，而且高質量；不僅惠及中國，更要造福世界。

'Sky is limit' for China-Russia cooperation
中俄深化合作沒有止境

"The China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination is as stable as Mount Tai," Wang said.
中俄全面戰略協作伙伴關系穩如泰山。

"There is always room to make the relationship even better," said Wang.

The confidence comes from the strong trust and friendship between the heads of state of the two countries, which is fundamental to the further development of the bilateral relationship, he said.

It also comes from the deepening of cooperation in many fields, the firm support for each other's core interests, the close coordination in international affairs, and the growing exchanges between the two sides, said Wang.

The minister said China believes the Russian people will again make a right choice and advance steadily towards national revitalization.

"The Russian people are resilient, committed, and able to stand pressure," he said, extending best wishes for Russia and the Russian people.

China to promote Xiongan New Area to world
今年中國將向全球推介雄安新區

China will promote the Xiongan New Area to the world this year, Wang Yi said.
今年我們將向全球推介雄安新區。

The office will play an active role in facilitating domestic development, telling China story and protecting China's overseas interest.
我們將打造地方省區市全球推介活動的增強版，更有針對性地講好中國故事。維護好我們國家的海外利益。

The foreign ministry will also contribute its efforts in poverty alleviation and contribute in reform and opening-up policy.
扶貧工作外交部也從不缺位，將為打贏扶貧攻堅戰貢獻一份力量。我們還將創辦反映重大改革開放舉措的專題推介。

China's four major events in 2018
2018年中國將舉辦四大主場活動

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi introduced the main highlights of four events to be held in China this year.
外交部部長王毅介紹說，今年的中國外交亮點主要體現在四大主場活動上。

First, Boao Forum for Asia annual conference will take place in Hainan this April, and focus on reform and opening-up.
一是4月在海南舉行博鰲亞洲論壇年會，主旋律是改革開放。

“In the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up, we will review China’s successful experience and sketch new possibilities for reform and opening-up in the new era,”
Wang said.
今年恰逢中國改革開放40周年，本屆年會將總結改革開放成功經驗，展示新時代深化改革、擴大開放的新前景。

Second, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will take place in Qingdao this June, and focus on revitalizing the Shanghai Spirit.
二是6月在青島舉行上海合作組織峰會，主旋律是弘揚“上海精神”。

The expanded SCO will rededicate itself to the Shanghai Spirit to the mutual trust and benefit, equal and consultation, respect for diversity of civilizations and pursuit of common development. “The summit will set the SCO on the new journey of consolidation and growth,” he added.
擴員后的上合組織將重溫互信、互利、平等、協商、尊重多樣文明、謀求共同發展的“上海精神”，開啟上合組織發展壯大的新征程。

Third, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit will take place in Beijing this September, and focus on the Belt and Road Initiative.
三是9月在北京舉行中非合作論壇峰會。主旋律是“一帶一路”。

“(It will be) a great opportunity for our African brothers and sisters to participate fully in the BRI, the summit will give new impetus to the China-African comprehensive strategic partnership,” the minister said.
非洲各國的兄弟姐妹將會以這次峰會為契機，全方位參與“一帶一路”建設，為中非全面戰略伙伴關系注入新動力。

Fourth, the First China International Import Expo will take place in Shanghai this November, and focus on further market opening.
四是11月在上海首次舉行中國國際進口博覽會，主旋律是市場開放。

“China will embrace the world with open arm, and enormous market potential. All will be welcomed to access and benefit from the new opportunity of China’s development,” he said.

China has no need or intention to displace US
我們不會也不必去取代美國的作用

China itself has a long way to go to realize modernization and it has no need or intention to displace the United States, Wang Yi said.
中國實現自身現代化的道路還很長，我們不會也不必去取代美國的作用。

"Some Americans allege that China will replace America's role in the world. This conclusion is fundamentally wrong," Wang said.
美國一些人認為中國因此要取代美國在國際上的作用，這是一個根本性的戰略誤判。

Despite elements of competition, China-US ties are defined more by partnership, not rivalry, he said.
中美可以有競爭，不必做對手，更需當伙伴。

Xi is chief architect of China's diplomacy
習近平主席是中國特色大國外交的總設計師

He said that President Xi Jinping works as the chief architect of China's diplomacy and is involved in planning and conducting head of state diplomacy.
習近平主席作為中國特色大國外交的總設計師，親自擘畫和推進了精彩紛呈的元首外交。

"As the highest form of state-to-state interaction, head of state diplomacy has a pivotal and irreplaceable strategic value,” Wang said.
元首外交是國際交往的最高形態，有著其他交往無法替代的重要作用和戰略價值。

Xi has visited 57 countries and received more than 110 foreign heads of state as of now, which not only deepened the world's understanding of China, enhanced China's profile and influence and facilitated the solution to many global problems, Wang said.
習主席遍訪世界57個國家，接待了110多位外國元首訪華，這些重大的外交行動不僅極大增進了國際社會對中國的了解，有效提升了中國的國際地位和影響，也為解決當今許多全球性問題指明了方向。

Xi’s leadership and charisma has earned himself and China many friends in a diverse range of culture background and social system.

Xi will host the four major events in China this year, and will participate in the BRICS Summit in South Africa, APEC Meeting in Papua New Guinea and the G20 Summit in Argentina, he said.

China urges US, DPRK to conduct dialogue as soon as possible

China urges the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to make contact and conduct dialogue as soon as possible, Wang Yi said.
我們呼吁各方，尤其是美朝雙方盡快進行接觸和對話。

The recent easing of tensions on the peninsula after Pyongyang and Seoul engaged in a series of interaction over the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is welcomed, Wang said, adding that China fully supports the efforts by the DPRK and the Republic of Korea to improve ties.
朝韓雙方抓住冬奧會的契機開展了一系列密集互動，南北關系迅速解凍，這為冰封已久的半島形勢注入了一股久違的暖流。我們對朝韓雙方為此做出的努力予以充分肯定和支持。

The fact that during the Winter Games, the DPRK did not conduct any nuclear test, and the US and the ROK suspended their joint exercises prove China's proposal of a suspension-for-suspension was the right prescription for the problem, and created basic conditions for the improvement of inter-Korean relations, the foreign minister said.

"History has reminded us time and again that whenever tension in the peninsula subsided, the situation would be clouded by various interferences," Wang said, urging all parties to demonstrate political courage and make a political decision to carry out all necessary engagement, bilateral and multilateral, to restart dialogue for a peaceful settlement of the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.
歷史經驗告訴我們，每當半島局勢出現緩和時，各種干擾就會如影隨形、接踵而至。各方應拿出政治勇氣，做出政治決斷，盡快開展一切必要和有益的雙多邊接觸，全力推動重啟和平解決半島核問題的對話談判。

Those who do not have bias or practice double standards will see in China not a threat, but plenty of opportunities, Wang said.
只要不懷有偏見，不奉行雙重標準，從中看到的絕不是什么威脅，而是滿滿的機遇。

"As China grows, the 'China collapse theory' has collapsed and become an international laughing stock. Meanwhile, the 'China threat theory' with its various sensational versions is losing market," he said.
隨著中國的持續發展，“中國崩潰論”自己先崩潰了，變成了一個國際笑柄?！爸袊{論”雖然有了新的翻版，但卻更加不得人心。

China committed to South China Sea peace, stability
中國維護南海和平穩定的決心不可動搖

China has strong resolve and deep commitment to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea, Wang Yi said.
中國維護南海和平穩定的決心不可動搖，誠意始終如一。

"China's position is firm and consistent," Wang said.
這一立場堅如磐石，一以貫之。

China follows a responsible approach to the South China Sea issue, taking into account interests of the Chinese people, historical facts, regional peace and the international rule of law, he said.

China to upgrade strategic partnership with ASEAN
與東盟打造更高水平的戰略伙伴關系

China will continue to put the cooperation with ASEAN high on its agenda of international cooperation this year, he said. China looks to upgrade the strategic partnership and build a closer community of shared future with ASEAN, Wang Yi said.
我們將繼續把東盟放在對外合作議程的首頁，打造更高水平的戰略伙伴關系，構建更緊密的命運共同體。

Stronger China-EU relations
期待中歐關系邁上新臺階

Wang said that he hopes the China-EU relations will be as strong at the end of the year as they were at the start of the year.
我們期待今年的中歐關系能夠高開高走，邁上新臺階。

"China and EU share the responsibility to safeguard the global free trade system and negotiation needs to be speeded up to conclude a China-EU investment agreement," he said.
維護全球自由貿易體系是雙方的共同責任，商簽中歐投資保護協定有必要提速前進。

"There are some disagreements between China and the EU, but both sides have realized the need to put themselves in the each other's shoes and to be more open, tolerant and understanding of one another," he said.
中歐之間也存在一些分歧，但是雙方都意識到，我們應該多一些換位思考，多一些開放包容，多一些相互理解。

Japan urged to see China as partner, not threat
中日“互為合作伙伴、互不構成威脅”

Wang Yi said that Japan should earnestly implement the political understanding that "China and Japan see each other as partners, not threats".
我們希望日方能夠把“互為合作伙伴、互不構成威脅”的政治共識真正落到實處。

China is willing to work with Japan to restore the relationship to healthy and steady growth, as long as Japan "does not prevaricate, flip-flop or backpedal and instead accepts and welcomes China's development," Wang said.
只要日方不猶豫、不折騰、不倒退，客觀對待和認同中國的發展，中國愿意與日方相向而行，共同推動兩國關系回到健康、穩定的發展軌道。

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship.
今年是《中日和平友好條約》締結40周年。

"Never forget why you started, and you can accomplish your mission. At this important juncture, we ask Japan to have political credibility and act accordingly to cement the political foundation of its relations with China," Wang said.
不忘初心，方得始終。40年后，站在承前啟后的歷史關頭，我們希望日方能夠政治上講信用、行動上守規矩，切實維護好兩國關系的政治基礎。
